Smile

“I have been restless within the labyrinth and the Minotaur laughs from a distance at my misfortunes because I keep stumbling forward through the darkness and I keep finding a dead-end, I am lost within my own dark thoughts and I am lost within the labyrinth. It seems the Minotaur is winning and has me backed into a corner again, laughing all day and night because I am powerless against it. Then, I see that golden glimmer of light once more and I smile, I shake away the darkness clouding my vision and I begin my ascent to Paradise. It’s a slow walk now because the way is longer because I don’t feel quite like my usual self but I forget that now I can be free from the Minotaur’s laugh and those thoughts of self doubt, I can be free from the worries and the stress. I can be myself and soon, my sweet prince, I will be back to being me and with your guidance and your reassuring voice, will get me that one step closer to Paradise. I can see it now, glimmering in the distance in a golden ray of light, my smile grows bigger as I think of you and how you will do everything in your power to make me forget about the Minotaur. I smile as I know how you will make me laugh throughout the day and hold me close in your tender embrace. Tomorrow; I will sit upon the threshold of Paradise, tomorrow, I will smile even more, tomorrow, I will lay within the soft white clouds with you my sweet prince”~ random thought
