They finally left,
They are gone,
But the thing,
Under the floor,
Still beats,
The same,
Thumbing,
In rythemn,
Pulsing,
The thing,
Shouldn’t not be,
Beating,
It’s impossible,
Improbable,
Yet,
I hear it,
None the less,
It’s pounding so loud,
It’s making me insane,
I almost,
Told them the truth,
Yet,
They couldn’t bear it,
It’s still beating,
The beating heart,
Of another,
I pull at my hair,
There has to say,
To end this madness,
Or the penalty,
Will be insanity,
What if…
No,
That plan,
Is too insane,
Yet,
The noise,
Is already,
Driving me mad,
There is a way out,
If only I have the courage,
Beating heart,
Will you cease,
Your torture?

The end is nigh,
