Into silence

I stare,
Into the silence,
Into the void,
Into the darkness,
Of my own broken mind,
It stares back,
As if expecting something,
But,
I’m lost,
To the void,
The barely there smile,
Is back,
My mind a malestrom,
Of emotions,
Of thoughts,
I’ve locked away,
Part of me wants to reach out,
Yet,
I yearn,
To disappear,
To vanish,
Into the void,
To finally find out,
If anyone cares,
Yet,
I know they do,
Yet,
I crave it all the same,
The call to the void,
To the darkness,
To the silence,
Because then maybe,
My mind will finally,
Know peace
