Yesterday as you may/may not know I went to the writer’s club at my local community centre and it was pretty relax, methinks I will be returning there next week to build up my confidence (which in my opinion needs rekindling) but methinks that the writer’s club will benefit me more than just building my confidence, it will give me more outlets to talk to be people in the writing business and hear their stories as well as sharing my own but all of that was yesterday’s news, nothing exciting is happening day but I’m still looking forward to the workshop on Saturday although I have a feeling my nerves will still be through the roof (so much for having nerves of steel). How I long to cut off the head to the dole (not literally) mainly because I’m tired, sick and tired of the dole’s stupidity, I mean don’t they realise that no employer will bother to contact you even if you do have your mobile number situated on you CV, apparently not but never mind, somewhere along this road there will come a time to stray from the path of unemployment to an actually job, when, I only wish I knew. Well today hasn’t been exciting apart from the fact that I know remember where my local community centre is so I can journey forth there tomorrow once I come back from the dole which to be honest I’m not looking forward to but never mind. As I stare into the dark void of Hell’s abyss my heart swills with bitterness because I know that I don’t belong here, I belong somewhere in the embrace of Paradise, I’m no longer happy here, the bitterness only makes it worse yet if I try to ask to stay in Paradise I get rejection and an argument but I know somehow that Mike understands why I must return to this dismal place of woe and darkness, I long for yesterday’s memories and the smile I once wore, I long for Mike’s tender embrace again but in short yesterday with Mike was really really awesome but I miss him now more than ever and I long for my return to Paradise. I wish I was one of those lucky people that receive a promotion at there work which results in a higher pay but what I’m on about is promoting myself and my business via my business cards because thankfully I remembered when I was out earlier to hand out my card to people I met through Triage but all of that is a different story but lets hope that those two cards will do some good and lets hope that more news will spread about my business and maybe, just maybe someone will take on Reach, I can only hope so. I can finally stop worrying about if the other end has recieved my payment as I made a quick phone call just to enquire about it although the woman did say she hasn’t had time to check her bank I have funny feeling that the payment I made will be sitting there with my name attached to it and as far as we are both concerned my place has been booked for the 15th for ages so no-one can really dispute that (I’d like to see them try) but thankfully I can now put my mind at ease about that. Well it seems as though I may have closed a door on one opportunity as there was a writers event up in Aberdour which I all to happily declined, why you may ask, simply because I am one of those people who tend to get over nervous about going places I have never been and it would have been too much hassle for to arrange travel, etc, etc however thanks to the wonders of email I have opened a door which I’m not really sure where it will lead to but there is no harm in checking it out to see how things go, what I’m talking about is there is a small group of people within my area that have set up something just for writers to chat and drink tea, I’ve never heard of it till recently, it’s on every Tuesday 2-4, so I’m sitting here thinking “why not, just pop along and see how it goes”, I’ll get to promote my business card, myself and my work, I will admit, I’ll be nervous nearing by next week (as I mainly confirming details about the whole thing today) but we will see. I just realised something, I don’t need to look up how to self edit my novel, why, mainly because I still have a book upon my Kobo that is specifically been made to enhance my grammar, why it took me till there the now to realise that I have no idea although I will thank the many wonders of people’s advice in the meantime but methinks somehow I must have forgotten all about that book (although I can see why).
